In an attempt to allow my brain to relax between working on my essay for school I've read three different articles I'd like to share with you today:

Article #1 deals with the Michigan State Assistant Attorney General and his 'stalking' of a U of M student. Read the article, but especially go out and watch his interview with Anderson Cooper.

Article #2 deals with the word vagina and the fact people are not allowed to say the word!

And finally, Article #3 deals with the top 14 anti-gay politicians being caught being gay. It's written somewhat tongue in cheek, but interesting all the same. As a friend said, I'm not big on kicking folks when they are down, but these all deserve to be kicked and kicked hard!

Spirit Day

It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 6 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools.
