nephir: Pleiades (pleiades)
Oh dear lord it would be easier to tell you what doesn't make me cry!

Off the top of my head, in list form for ease of reading:
  • Singing the National Anthem with a large group of people.  I think its the empathic swell of emotion that does it to me.
  • Watching my kids (or family) perform.
  • Sad movies.  Nuff' said.
  • Happy movies.  Toy Story 3 had me in tears.
  • When other people cry.  Its like yawning, if I see one person do it then I want to too.
  • When I have to say goodbye to someone I rarely get to see, such as my sister.
  • When I remember events that have been emotional for me, the death of a friend/loved one, one perfect day with the spouse/kids/sibs/etc..

nephir: Whip it GOOD! (whip)
Yesterday was my Friday from school *WHOO HOO*.  I have survived my first week of many to come with some things I need to remember for next week:
  • Clean out and use the damned rolling computer bag.  My neck and shoulders, let alone my back will love for it.
  • Remember to take something to heat up in the commons or a sandwich for that time between classes (M&W 4 hours!) so I am not starving when I get home.
  • Yes, the special butt cushion will continue to go with me to classes.
  • Refill the bottle with the anxiety meds for my Youngest Spawn for the two days we are at the school together.
  • The stairs are GOOD for me, even when I hate them.  Continue to use them woman!
  • Parking will continue to suck.  Get over it and maybe buy an umbrella.
Yesterday I swapped back out the loaner car for our car at the dealership.  As an FYI, KIA Sportages are nice and roomy and suck gas like there is no tomorrow!  We had it 2 days..... and went from a full tank to half a tank in three car rides.  That my friends is bad mileage.

So, I came home from school, dropped off all my stuff, hooked back up my laptop to it's place on the desk, tried to catch-up with various journals then went to bed at 6:00 pm.  I figured I would get back up around 9 or so and then back to bed around midnight.

I actually got up this morning at 7:30.  I guess I was tired.

I'll be seeing the Spawnlette and her parents (The Middle Spawn & the Sargent)  this weekend, she's taken up crawling since last I got to see her so that'll be fun.

nephir: Garcia (Garcia; Ohhhh)
Because yesterday was my last day of school for the week I keep thinking this is Saturday... not Friday and trying to have errands ran before things closed (insert flaily hands here)...
You get my drift?
Yeah, totally weirded out.
Vacuumed the floor and all the little fiddly bits around the furniture so that the now CRAWLING Spawnlette would have a clean surface to demonstrate on and amaze us with her mad crawling skills.

I want to be knitting but the vacuuming has killed my hands for possibly the day.  Maybe later they will work well enough that I can hold the needles and work on the ghostie washcloth.

Any big plans for our weekend?  Ours will all revolve around the Middle Spawn, the Sargent and the Spawnlette.  We may make a trip to have dinner with the guys now that they are back from Europe, but nothing definite yet.

nephir: petite musique de nuit (Nuit; reclining)
I had one of those zucchinis.... you know the ones.  The ones that would make an elephant blush?  One of my neighbors had excess and had left a pile of them at the mailboxes.

I decided to make zucchini parmigiana with it.  Once you have everything prepared it takes no time to throw it together, but the whole slicing, drying, dredging, frying of the veggie first... its a pain in the patootie!

It's in the oven now, hopefully it tastes as good as it looked.
