amejisuto had this in her LJ today and I thought that I'd kidnap it into mine for the moment...
What was the first Buffy ep you ever saw? I started at the beginning, but like a dork I cannot remember episode names.
Was Spike or Xander the reason you kept watching? I liked them all for the most part. I adored Anthony Head from the Taster's Choice commercials (nothin' like dating myself).

How did you feel about Spike and Xander when you first watched? I felt for Xander in that he tried so very hard to impress Buffy and failing so very badly. In many ways he represented me own self view of my teen years. I adored Spike and Dru when they first came on the show. Here were vamps I could relate to unlike Angel, who still to this day makes me want to smack him.
How did you discover Fanfic, and what was your first? Ranma 1/2. I'd only been watching anime for a short while and had went hunting for stories about the series I was currently obsessing over (it's good to admit to your desires). One of the stories I read (it's been so long and it scarred me so very badly that I've blocked it out of my mind) was a long angsty piece dealing with abuse of Ranma by Akane, culminating in the death of Ranma at Akane's hands. It was a very well written piece that went deeply into the depths of depression, spousal abuse and its causes, and the mentality of those who stay in abusive relationships.
If your first was het, then what was your first slash? How did you switch? My first slash was probably in the Harry Potter fandom -- Snitch! by Alex. I became entrenched firmly in the HP fandom and actually wrote a few stories for it. I still hang out there, but read very little in it these days.
Who was your original OTP? I used to tease the spawn about Spuffy during the whole *My Will Be Done* storyline, but really didn't like it other than as teasing material. OTP -- in the HP fandom it's Snape/Harry. In Buffy, it's Spike/Xander but I like Angel(us)/Xander as well.
How or what made you switch to Spander? I read Small Fry and was hooked.
What was your first Spander fic? Small Fry, though it's really X/S/Anya.
What is your all time favorite Spander fic? There are really too many for me to list here, but a sampling of them are:
