Its been a couple of weeks since I last posted so lets do a drive by update, shall we?
School has 4 days left in the quarter.... yep, four days. I can't wait to have a couple of weeks off for the holidays. I've been fighting with the registrar over one class, I ended up having to order my high school transcript to prove I had the grades to get into the class. I think it's kinda stupid as those grades are 30 years old, and I am not the same person I was back then. I'm not sure why they weren't willing to look at the grades I am getting now and use those for the decision. Oh well, I've handed in the ancient transcript and I am now waiting to hear back from the office.
I think I am going to score A/B's in all my classes, the only one I am really mildly stressed out over is the math class and in it I'm currently at a B. I'm just waiting for the final to see how it all falls out in the end.
I've been on a baking kick - I spent last weekend over at SJ's baking fruit cakes. He made one that's a confection type with marzipan and lemon zest. Its fed with brandy. We made a double batch of a recipe that I'd gotten from ozarque.livejournal.com that I'd wanted to try. One batch done with whiskey and the other with sherry. All taste fine to me, but I'll have to see what others think about them.
Yesterday I made a double batch of pumpkin fudge and peppermint bark, today is cranberry pistachio biscotti and more peppermint bark with the Eldest Spawn contributing peanut brittle.
Once the baking is done today, most is going into boxes for sending out to friends and family.
Later this month we are going down to the Tri-city area to spend part of the holiday with the Middle Spawn and her family.
