Brr, baby I'm cold (updated and corrected)

Currently obsessed with the BtVS/AB crossover Joli Couer by Caramel Covered Carioca. 11 parts so far and HE left us hanging yesterday with a nasty cliffhanger.

Reasons I like the story: good characterization of Xander. He's given some new abilities, but he's not "superXan" by any means. Fairly on the nose Anita Blake characters (LOL -- his Richard is even more whiny and annoying than he is in the books IMO -- what little you get to see him). Fascinating story. Voudon/witchcraft/lycanthropy and of course sex, but all in moderation and as an integral part of the story when they happen, not just, ‘I needed to have a big orgy here 'cause it's been a day or so since the last one’....not that I see that happening in the Anita Blake stories (tongue firmly in cheek).

I've like all of this author's works -- I recommend HIS BtVS/Gargoyles crossover. Highly amusing.

(Had to correct this -- I wrote about this before I discovered that The Caricoca is a *gasp* guy who writes slash fanfiction! instead of the *stereotypical bored housewife/female college student)

As I told creedcascade earlier, it's a balmy 14 degrees at my home this morning -- brrr--but nothing to compare to her temps. Glad I live where I do.

Here's a belated holiday wish of happiness and health to all my LJ friends and family. I hope your holidays were stress free (or at least tolerable) and that the New Year found you in good spirits.
