You the LCD seems to be damaged somewhere inside the casing -- there is a large black crack running across the screen and blobs of blackness oozing from it, sometime shading into green and red

You nope -- there is no physical damage to the screen its self or the case that we are able to see of feel, however the display (pixels) are showing damage in the form of a large crack

You let me see if I can make this clearer -- the cracked display is eveident for anyone who has the ability to look at it. However, the display does not error out when running the diagniostics. The display works, it's just slowly loosing more and more surface to a creeping blackness that is coming from the damaged pixels (as far as I can tell)

I am ready to SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!

*sighs* Technology is making people stupid. Especially customer service people.
*hugs* Hope they get around to replacing your LCD soon. If it were me, I would've chucked the thing through the window of their nearest center. Sure, that would void the warranty but that would make me feel much better as well. :P

I got the part ordered yesterday and it's on it's way. All it took after the convo I posted above was me talking for 5 minutes with a customer service person who listened to me.

To all customers service people out there: See? It's not that hard. All you gotta do is listen. We customers don't mean to be *that* rude to you either you know...

We definitely gotta get the current educational system to add in a compulsory class that teaches people how to listen to other people soon. It will revolutionize the world!
