nephirSo, has anyone else out there seen the 2000 Australian remake of Jesus Christ Superstar?
I've always felt the story had some fairly strong homoerotic overtones to it, but damn! This was so freakin' slashy I just couldn't believe it.
Not terribly impressed with the actor who took on the Jesus role, big puppy eyes and pouty lips and the most incredible vacant look in his eyes. Powerful voice, but really bad otherwise (IMO).
Judas was fabulous.
It looked like they hit up *twinks r us* for the apostles.
Most slashy movie ever.
Now I must buy the 73 version so that I can compare the two.
