nephir: Snow (Snow)
We had our first snowfall yesterday, light but cold *brrrr*  I contacted my teachers saying that if we got more I'd not be coming into class today - 4+ miles down a twisty mountain road makes it a bit tricky some days,.

When I got up this morning it was only lightly snowing and cold but no real accumulation so I packed out to the car and made the trip into Redmond for my English class. Turns out the teacher couldn't make it in due to the roads so class was canceled.

That's okay, I was planning on sticking around to have lunch with Mr. SJ and the passing off of the cat litter that I had picked up for him this weekend at Costco but there is nothing to do for the time being but to sit in Denny's while killing time.  Just had a text from Mr. SJ, he will be understanding if I should bail on lunch, so I'm going to finish up this entry and head home with one quick stop at Freddies for a couple of things we couldn't find last night at the grocery store.

I have been watching the snow come down from my table, it's finally lightened up and is looking better than it was when I first arrived but it is still coming down. I'm pretty ticked with myself, I forgot my flashdrive that has my currently in progress story and homework on it so I can't work on any of them while I am killing time.  I will eventually move from the Denny's to Starbuck's where I will have access to a plugin for the netbook.

I am looking forward to Thanksgiving, but it'll be a little sad without the Middle Spawn, the Sgt. and the Spawnlette here.  It's hard to spend the holidays apart, but its for the best with the travel restrictions and snow on the passes. I'd rather that they were safe and warm in their home than stuck in the snow and cold on the way here.  Still, we will miss them.

Well, I am off to head back home.  Have a wonderful day wherever you are!
