Rumination of the Day

It's encouraging to know the makers of Soylent Green
would be forced by today's FDA guidelines to include
the phrase "Ingredients: People" in the nutritional
disclosure. However, I sense most shoppers would
just see "Now with no trans fats!" splashed on the
front and drop a few cans in their carts anyway.

Nephir forced communism on the world.
... afterward, Nephir asked out a chair then made sweet, sweet love to it.

For the past 2-3 months my area has been hammered by Mother Nature....first there was the flood that blocked all access in and out of town (dude....seriously....all roads in and out were under water), then a snowstorm with freezing temps that paralyzed the area for a day or two, then there was the wind storm + near freezing temps so we were without power and water for a week, then the day after Christmas there was (more) snow. Not too much, but enough for folks to be happy. Then this past week we got nearly a foot of snow in places around the Sound (I think we had 10-12 inches in our yard), then freezing temps, some minor rain, just enough to turn everything into a skating rink then more snow (just a couple of inches).

Left the office early yesterday, just in case it decided to continue with the trend but was happily surprised this morning to wake to the sounds of dripping as snow began to melt all around us.

However, it now looks like everyone else not in the Pacific Northwest is being hammered.

Man -- all of you now going through this....you have my empathy!
