25 Feb 2004 15:42The muses are sound asleep in my brain, though they are stirring and starting to rouse -- or at least snorting in their rest (grin).
Found a few new fandoms to read about -- course they don't have much out there at the moment that I've been able to find.
Petsop of Horrors -- think Night Gallery with bishonen and strange pets. You've got the mysterious and lovely Count D, and his pet babbit (rabbit with bat wings, horns, webbed feet and a rat tail) and the detective (Leon Orcut, tall blond, slob) who just knows that D is behind the strange deaths happening in the city.
I read the first two translated mangas and the sexual undercurrent is very obvious, though apparently it never goes anywhere in the series. Sigh, but then that's what fanfiction is for.
The other is Yami No Matsuei -- remember in Beetlejuice where the newly deceased are in the undead government office -- yep, this takes that idea and runs with it. I've not had a chance to read any of the manga yet, but the pictures are lovely that I've seen and the little bit of fanfiction makes me want to read more.
