Weekend update
*squee announcement*
The Elder and Younger Spawn are coming back home late tonight from Aneheim where they attended the *not really an Oingo Boingo Reunion* concert *because Danny Elfman didn't attend*.
They had a wonderful time -- stood up right next to the stage to have the best view of their idols.
They also attended the meet and greet afterwards that was raising money for hurricane relief. Youngest Spawn got to have a picture with Steve (guitar god) Bartek, and then Elder and Younger made a John Avila (sic) sandwich.
On the fandom side I've spent the weekend watching the first season of Due South for the first time.
I have to say that I am a die hard Fraser/Kowalski shipper -- I just don't see any *sexual* tension between Vecchio and Fraser -- brotherly friendship, yeah -- that's there in spades.
Maybe in the second season there was something...I'm looking forward to watching to find out.
I'm pretty amazed at the differences between the two shows...Season One so far is fairly gritty with a lot more angst and serious stories. The Mountie is not so Dudley Do-Right...and spends a lot more time in civies and the brown uniform rather than the red. It's nice.
Not the same, but nice.
Also -- watched Men with Brooms again....adore that movie. Paul Gross plays a loveable creep -- no where near perfect, but still adoreable.
Enough babble -- news on the flight front is that the Spawn will be getting in @ 11:00 rather than after midnight.....hurrah!
